A pleasant path along pretty fields... On a clear day, you can see Kiel in the distance.

The Hasseldieksdamm animal enclosure is one of five in Kiel. You can admire sika deer, wisent, bison, Heidschnucke sheep, and aurochs. Plenty of benches invite you to take a break, and children can enjoy the Mouse Trail and several play areas in the forest. One of Kiel's local recreation areas. You can't forget the city; the traffic can be clearly heard.

Crossing the Wellsau bridge is a must when cycling in this area.

Parallel to the developed supply road, a hidden forest singletrack trail runs along the shore of Lake Flemhude. The rooty and winding trail is easily accessible even in summer. It has several dog bathing areas and ends at the bathing area where the lake meets the Kiel Canal. An absolutely worthwhile section.

The path is a bit overgrown but still quite easy to recognize.
