The estate in Groß Flotow comprises a simple manor house (also known as a stately home), a gatehouse, and other farm buildings. From the early 16th century (at least from 1506), the estate belonged to the von Voss family (Counts von Voss), an old Mecklenburg noble family. Later, it passed to the von Oertzen family: The last private owner before 1945 was Henning von Oertzen (1889–1978).

The church's origins date back to the 13th or early 14th century (an early Gothic brick building). The village of Groß Flotow was first documented in 1418 and likely originated as a Slavic settlement. In 1894/1895, the church was rebuilt on its old foundations and partially remodeled in the Neo-Gothic style. Elements such as an elaborate south portal from the medieval period have been preserved.

The Groß Flotow manor house is a simple, two-story, plastered building with ten bays and a central projection. It is a classic Mecklenburg manor house from the 19th century, designed more for functionality than for show. In the 19th century, the estate belonged to the von Voss family, an old Mecklenburg noble family. A shareholding is known to have been acquired in 1847 by Senior Justice Councilor Count Carl Otto Friedrich von Voss. It remained in the possession of noble families until 1945; the last owner before expropriation was a member of the von Oertzen family (specifically Friedrich von Oertzen-von Waldow-Friedenau).

The building is a solid brick structure with three basket-bottomed gateways. Two of them have already been bricked up. An inscription above the central entrance documents its construction in 1933. The gatehouse has a pyramidal roof. At the top of the gate roof is a small, square wooden tower. The clock in the tower now operates as a radio-controlled clock and chimes every half hour. The weathervane with the stag is once again rotating atop the gatehouse.

If you're passing by by bike, I highly recommend it! Delicious food and reasonably priced.

To the north of Warensberg there are 5 burial mounds covered with stones and overgrown with trees that are visible from afar! Very well preserved archaeological monuments that are typical of the North German landscape! About 650 meters southeast of here (at Glockenberg) there is another very distinctive burial mound, the so-called "King's Cradle"!
