We went hiking there in the winter on icy paths. You don't see many animals then because you're just too loud. But in spring and summer there's a lot to see, especially in the first section of the forest. There are really loads of birds then. Deer, hares and, from what I've heard, even a stag are not uncommon there.

In August 2024, it was impossible to get past the Watermill. The friendly resident saw that the path is no longer maintained.

Small bathing establishment...freely accessible, plenty of places to sit. Longer jetty with ladder or direct access to the water...unfortunately a bit overgrown with weeds.

It's not worth it! The railway cycle path is 3 km before Quadenschönfeld completely overgrown with scrub and high grass as well as fallen trees, the railway path has been neglected by the community for years, extremely. A pity
