Very nice complex, also this tree opposite the small island

A beautiful garden, especially at the end of October with the autumn leaves. We barely watered it, but that's okay: sedge is growing there. It looks very nice, too.

Beautiful grounds, especially at the end of October with the autumn leaves. When we were there, there was no water in the pond. But that's okay: pretty grass grows there. It's fine.

It is difficult to predict when water will be in there again

The reservoir is nestled in the idyllic Werder Forest. In every season, it unfolds its own special charm – be it in the lush green of summer, the splendor of autumn, or the quiet magic of winter. The surrounding trees are picturesquely reflected in the water's surface, lending the place an almost magical atmosphere. The reservoir is a place of peace and relaxation – ideal for nature lovers and especially for families who want to enjoy time together in nature.

The swamp cypress, also known as swamp yew, is the better known of the two plant species in the genus swamp cypress, which belongs to the cypress family. Breathing knees, knee roots or air knees are formed by some swamp and mangrove trees. They break through the soil surface as root loops or negative-gravitropic (growing in the opposite direction of gravity) outgrowths of the horizontally oriented, near-surface underground root system. Breathing knees serve as pneumatophores; their aerenchyma (ventilation tissue) ensures the gas exchange of the underground root system in the oxygen-poor sediment.

Unfortunately it is currently being drained and renovated. Otherwise it is just wonderful 😊.
