The Köhlersteig connects the town of “Greiz” with the town of “Reichenbach”. This natural hiking trail is surrounded by rock towers - the Köhlerspitzen. The Köhlersteig lies between the confluence of the Göltzsch and the Weiße Elster in Greiz and the Göltzschtal Bridge. 🤩👍

You can reach the Göltzschtalbrücke from Reichenbach on the B173 towards Plauen, before entering Netzschkau turn right towards Greiz for approx. 500 meters.

Elster weir in Neumühle. Here the magpie is allowed to make itself heard when it pours over the weir. Seating is provided at the small parking lot.

The Köhlersteig is an approx. 9 km long climb from the Göltzsch Viaduct to Greiz. If you want to take the charcoal tips with you, you have to be a bit careful.
