No matter which direction you arrive in Krakow am See, the observation tower on Jörnberg welcomes you. The observation platform of the now 28-meter-tall tower is located almost 100 meters above sea level. Visitors who climb the tower's 126 steps are rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of Krakow's glittering lake labyrinth. After the first wooden observation tower was built on the same site in 1897, a new reinforced concrete structure followed. The Bismarck Tower, erected in 1907, was made of reinforced concrete by a Rostock company. It reached a height of 13.40 meters up to the observation platform. For many years, this tower served as a center of attraction for Krakow's citizens and visitors. It was later demolished as a result of the war. The idyllic and quiet campsite on Lake Krakow is located on the wooded north shore with its own beach. There is an individual parking space for each guest on an area of 6 hectares. Dream places, just a few steps from the water, and a great starting point for all activities.

Climbing the tower is definitely recommended. From here you have a great panoramic view and can also enjoy wonderful sunsets. You should check the opening times beforehand, as they are very busy here! be taken precisely. Climbing the tower is free.

The place itself is very well maintained, which means that the team is there on time in the morning (and all the long-term campers) maintenance of the area begins. Lawn mowers, brush cutters and hedge trimmers from 7:30 a.m. Very clean sanitary facilities and good bread service. As always, you have to know what you want but for us it was too stuffy here and way too loud due to the site maintenance.
