The promenade invites you to linger with a beautiful view of Lake Krakow.

No matter which direction you arrive in Krakow am See, the observation tower on Jörnberg welcomes you. The observation platform of the now 28-meter-tall tower is located almost 100 meters above sea level. Visitors who climb the tower's 126 steps are rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of Krakow's glittering lake labyrinth. After the first wooden observation tower was built on the same site in 1897, a new reinforced concrete structure followed. The Bismarck Tower, erected in 1907, was made of reinforced concrete by a Rostock company. It reached a height of 13.40 meters up to the observation platform. For many years, this tower served as a center of attraction for Krakow's citizens and visitors. It was later demolished as a result of the war. The Nebeldurchbruchtal valley is highly recommended. The paths lead through moorland, along streams, and sometimes cross them in adventurous ways (a wooden walkway with only a single handrail). Unspoilt nature awaits, before Lake Krakow opens up with its less crowded bays and shoreline paths.

For sheltered sunbathing, you can rent a beach chair by the hour or day.

During the season, qualified DLRG lifeguards keep a close eye on the safety of our young and old bathers at our "textile beach areas". Families with small children particularly appreciate the wide shallow water area. In addition to digging and splashing, our little guests can slide and climb to their heart's content on the beach: various play equipment provides a welcome change.

Laze in the sun, take endless walks, build castles, play volleyball, let the wind blow through you or fly a kite - look forward to a five-kilometer-long and up to 40-meter-wide, fine, stone-free sandy beach. Whatever the weather and whatever the season, the right beach fun awaits you.
