Stocksee is an idyllic lake in Holstein Switzerland. Surrounded by forests, meadows, and rolling hills, the 1.3-square-kilometer body of water is ideal for swimming, paddling, hiking, and biking. Here is a large bathing area with a wooden jetty. The lakeside pool is fully accessible and has a large, shaded parking lot.

In general, Norderstedt City Park is always worth a visit: for cycling, walking, fitness, a climbing park, mini golf, table tennis tables, numerous playgrounds for children, a small farm with animals, a waterskiing facility – it's simply a great destination! In the summer, there's also the Arriba lido! There are also numerous activities during the summer months, some of which are also available in the winter! In the summer, you can simply lie on a lawn and have a picnic, or treat yourself to a small meal or coffee and cake in the bistro! I highly recommend Norderstedt City Park and I go there often and really enjoy it!

The lake is particularly important as a resting and moulting area and is therefore partly part of the Mittlerer Stocksee and surrounding area nature reserve. Stocksee is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein. The municipality is known throughout Schleswig-Holstein for the summer camp that takes place every year during the summer holidays for up to 170 children and young people from schools in Neumünster, Husum and Itzehoe.

The further you get from Bad Segeberg, the quieter and more secluded the path becomes – at least in winter. After rain or during thaws, it can sometimes be very muddy.
