The outdoor pool and the Großensee are great - the Midsummer Triathlon and transition zone also take place here https://midsummer-triathlon.de But if you want to ride a racing bike (and don't want to take breaks to swim) you should know: you can't get to the lake from the poorly paved road and the road through Großensee is in a miserable condition: potholes, patches and bumps without end, so that you can hardly find a track that you can get through easily. There are also quite a lot of cars and a footpath, which isn't really an alternative either.

It's actually more like dogs bathing here. I've only rarely seen people jump into the water here. And when they did, they always had their dogs with them. The Mönchsteich itself is an "insider tip" for a short walk anyway.
