A building that can be seen from afar is the main building of the St. Paulus Abbey in Herxheim. The monastery was founded by Prelate Jakob Friedrich Bussereau in 1896 and takes care of disabled people who also live here in shared apartments. It is also the motherhouse of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Paul, which cares for people with disabilities. The large main building as a religious building was built in 1898.
