Rammenau Palace. Information: An 18th-century complex with a courtyard, gatehouses, manor house, and park. One of the best-preserved Baroque country palaces in Saxony. The Rammenau manor was first documented in 1597.

Looking up Wallstraße from Bautzner Straße, you can see the mighty Monks' Wall, which protected the grounds of the former Franciscan monastery to the north and east, from afar. After 1507, the new city wall was built from granite rubble by the city and the monks. The end of Kamenz's city wall finally came in the 19th century, when it was recognized that the walls no longer provided serious protection against modern weapons of war.
