Simply a very nice section for a bike tour. The road is in good condition and the area is beautiful.

From the front, the church looks like a fortress. For this sparsely populated area, this church—like many others—is far too large for the village.

This is where the D4 (Mittelland Route) and the Spree Cycle Path diverge or merge.

Nice to walk along here.

There are some nice things here, but they aren't exactly cheap!

Wesenitz Spring and Valentin Adit Information The Wesenitz River originates at an elevation of 515 meters above sea level on the southeastern slope of the Valtenberg mountain, emerging from the entrance of a 60-meter-long mine adit known as the "Goldbergwerk" (Gold Mine). The Wesenitz was first documented in 1213. Valentin Adit at the Wesenitz spring on the southern slope of the Valtenberg mountain.

Spacious, well-maintained shelter in nature. Hohwald. Information at the shelter: The Querxe at Gußhübel. Approximately 80 meters downhill, on the left-hand side, is a spring hollow. The "Rote Floß" (Red Raft) spring originates here. Stone benches used to surround the spring, but these are now buried along with the spring itself.
