There's now quite often water on the path, and the field has a beautiful shoreline with waterfowl. Two large construction sections currently help with crossing so your feet don't get wet.

This is a park railway, you can take the children around the lake for a reasonable price and on certain days you can even ride the steam locomotive in front of the train. The beer garden is a few metres further on and there is another one on the other side of the lake, with the "Haus am See".

There are perfectly flat and super good running routes for ambitious runners and hobby runners.

Transition to the floodplain forest, very pretty

The Luppeaue nature reserve is located in the district of North Saxony and in the area of the city of Leipzig in Saxony. The approximately 598 hectare area with the NSG number L 45 was declared a nature reserve in 1993. It is located south of the core city of Schkeuditz and west of Lützschena, a district of the city of Leipzig, largely along the Neue Luppe, an artificial tributary of the White Elster, and largely south along the White Elster. The A 9 runs to the west and the B 6 to the north. The state border with Saxony-Anhalt runs to the west, and the 240.6 hectare Burgaue nature reserve extends to the east. (Source: Wikipedia)
