When it rains (currently for more than 48 hours), this path becomes extremely soft and muddy. If you decide to walk it, wear sturdy shoes. Caution: Slippery! It's certainly a beautiful path when it's dry.

Around Lake Wiegensee, you can discover the various stages of moorland development. From slowly silting lakes to transitional moors and raised bogs, you'll find everything in a very small space. Add to that the beautiful flora in early summer and the impressive mountain panorama.
