A very tough climb. I first tried the blue alpine trail, but then turned back because the route was a bit unclear to me. I didn't see the two hikers in front of me. I then climbed up and down the "slightly easier" paths.

Be sure to bring a hat if the sun is shining. There's no shade.

The Zamangspitze can be reached via three routes: a via ferrata (for experienced climbers), a very steep but direct ascent (strenuous but doable), or a moderate, long climb. Regardless of the gentle path, it's worth it! A truly magnificent view awaits you!

The ridge path coming from the Hochjoch is beautiful. The ascent and descent to the Zamangspitze is manageable, but surefootedness is required. The panoramic view is worth every effort
