The facades, made of brick and partly bluestone, with vertical niches and blocky round-arched friezes, include corner pilasters embossed in brick with sculpted Corinthian capitals. The tower is the first example in the Netherlands where the water reservoir was 'wrapped' with a brick wall. A copper dome roof rests on top of the tower.
