The Zötler Brewery Rettberg, better known as Zötler Beer, is a traditional brewery in the Allgäu. The private Zötler brewery has a history spanning centuries and is considered one of the oldest breweries in the world. A document documents the purchase of a piece of land by the innkeeper Conrat Bach. Since a tavern owner in the Middle Ages almost always brewed his own beer, it is reasonable to assume that he was the first brewer in Rettenberg and that this brewery later became today's Zötler brewery. The Zötler family runs the company and combines tradition and innovation in beer production. The Zötler brewery offers tours where visitors can gain an insight into the art of brewing beer. In addition, the brewery is closely linked to the regional gastronomy and its beers are an integral part of Allgäu cuisine. So there are plenty of opportunities to drink a Zötler!

Nice is relative, sometimes rough gravel. For gravel tours, it is recommended to go uphill as the surface is quite rough. But with a mountain bike and at least 100 mm of suspension travel, it is no problem.
