개울을 따라 이어지는 길을 걷는 것을 좋아합니다. 구간 초반에는 물이 거의 보이지 않았습니다. 계곡 쪽으로 더 내려가자 도랑에는 물이 많이 흐르고 있었습니다 (4월)

이 예배당은 1856년에 성당의 작은 종교 건축물로 지어졌으며 지역 주민들에게 숭배와 기도의 장소로 사용되었습니다. 그러나 수십 년에 걸쳐 건물은 점점 더 황폐해졌고 결국 버려지고 부분적으로 파괴되었습니다. 많은 해가 지난 후, 대략 2000년대 초부터, 건축물을 문화적, 역사적 기념물로 복원하려는 열망이 생겨났습니다. 자원봉사 노력과 기부를 통해 예배당은 마침내 원래 모습대로 복원, 보존 및 재건될 수 있었습니다.

A beautiful cycle path, with plenty to discover depending on the section. A detour off the cycle path is well worth it, especially before the first tunnel toward Polch.

This small, quarry-stone chapel stands quietly and majestically at the edge of the forest. Surrounded by tranquility, grass, and a Stations of the Cross, it invites not only believers to pause for a moment. 🕯 Tip: If you like, sit on the bench or walk around the chapel—even without religious connotations, it's a place for a quiet moment in nature.

The tunnel was part of the Maifeld Railway, a branch line of the Eifelquerbahn (Eifel Cross Railway), which was closed in the 1980s. Today, the tunnel is integrated into the Maifeld Cycle Path, which runs along former railway lines in the Maifeld region. The tunnel is paved and illuminated, making it attractive for both cyclists and hikers.

The mill, romantically situated in the Pommernbach Valley, was originally built to harness the natural power of flowing water. Now, thanks to a modern photovoltaic system, it also harnesses solar power.
