On the northeast shore of Lake Bistensee, you'll find the cozy community bathing area with a bathing pontoon. There's a lawn, a shallow sandy beach, a playground, and restrooms—perfect for a relaxing break by the water. Hungry after a swim? Then treat yourself to something tasty on the "Lake Terrace" terrace—with a beautiful view of the lake. A miniature golf course awaits you next door. Parking is free, but the bathing area is unattended.

A quiet, easily accessible hiking section with ample parking and two wonderful swimming spots. However, in westerly winds, algae and plant matter can drift onto the shore. The southern, car-free section in particular offers pure nature and relaxing hiking moments.

The Düvelsteen is a popular destination for cyclists and hikers. It is located directly on a well-developed cycle path with ample parking for bicycles. A paved footpath and cycle path leads directly to the stone. Parking for cars is available approximately 650 meters further south in the municipal parking lot next to the volunteer fire department.

LEGEND OF THE DEVIL'S STONE According to legend, the devil tried to destroy St. Jürgen's Church in Gettorf, 7 km away, with this stone. However, God deflected the stone, so that the stone only grazed the church, and the tower has been slightly leaning ever since. The boulder eventually landed near Großkönigsförde. [This story is illustrated by a devil statue in Gettorf and information panels on site.]

The Düvelsteen consists of coarse-grained, light-brown Småland granite, composed of pink feldspar, light-colored quartz, and finely distributed black mica. It is approximately 1.8 billion years old. During the Ice Age, it was pushed to its present location by glaciers from southern Sweden. Weighing approximately 180 tons, measuring approximately 3.75 meters high, 6 meters long, and 4.5 meters wide, it is an impressive natural monument.

Düvelsteen The Düvelsteen (High German: Devil's Stone) near Großkönigsförde is truly an impressive boulder. It is considered the largest in Schleswig-Holstein. The boulder lies 20 meters from the K 92 between Großkönigsförde and Revensdorf and is freely accessible.
