The station had a two-story brick reception building and a goods shed. Other buildings such as the water station, a loading ramp and a utility building were only built when the original three-track station was expanded to include another track in the mid-1920s. In the 1960s, the previously independent station was converted into an unmanned station and subordinated to Schönheide Süd station. Located at the end of the Marienweg at the former iron hammer. From here you can either go past the Ratsplatz, further up to the biker meeting point with an even better view or down to the dam.

In 1993, the "Torfstich" opened as a small snack bar to provide hikers and day-trippers with small culinary specialties.
