Magnificent panoramic views, including Trifels Castle! - A bench (right next to a boundary stone from 1775) invites you to rest! The scenic vineyard trail "Around the Steingebiss" passes by here.

Located on the Kaiserbach stream "Built in 1605 by Count Christoph von Gemmingen. The coat of arms with the year is still visible today. - From 1760 to 1919, the Eyermann family owned the mill. Johannes Kreutz married Katharina Eyermann. The Kreutz family [hence also known as "Kreutz Mill"] still lives on the property today. - The mill ceased operation in 1935 due to the decline of mills." This chapel is used by the Protestant and Catholic parishes (especially popular for weddings and baptisms) and is owned by the municipality of Billigheim-Ingenheim. It is considered a gem of 15th-century Gothic architecture. Source: https://www.evpfalz.de/gemeinden_cms/index.php?id=6980 The small church is somewhat hidden; next to it is a seating area for resting and a lovely playground.

Ingenheim "was home to the most important rural Jewish community in the Palatinate around the middle of the 19th century. The 578 Jewish citizens (in 1847) represented about a third of the total population at that time. It was not for nothing that people referred to it as 'Little Jerusalem.'" Source (quoted verbatim): https://www.juedisches-leben-in-ingenheim.de/de/startseite/14/startseite.html This Jewish cemetery "is all that remains of the once flourishing life and eventful history" of this Jewish community. "The oldest stones date back to 1695. As a community cemetery, Jews from the communities of Billigheim, Niederhorbach, Bad Bergzabern, Pleisweiler, Klingenmünster, Göcklingen, and Heuchelheim-Klingen were also buried here. The last burial took place in 1978." Source: Information board on site Further information: https://www.alemannia-judaica.de/ingenheim_friedhof.htm In 2016, the local community of Ingenheim published a detailed and impressive history of: - its Jewish population, - the deportation of all Jewish residents to Gurs on October 22, 1940, - the synagogue destroyed during Kristallnacht in 1938, - the large Jewish cemetery (including all grave names), etc., on its own website: https://www.juedisches-leben-in-ingenheim.de/de/startseite/14/startseite.html
