In the forest behind the manor house there is the "A...hole walking path" with some "cute" politicians in bronze. You can admire Erich (Honecker), Lenin, Khrushchev, Erdogan, George W. Bush and Donald Trump. On the left side are the owner of the manor house, the saxophonist Marita Gronau, and her partner Thomas Petsch, who sadly passed away in 2017.

From the path you have a great view of the Salzhaff, the part of the Bay of Mecklenburg that is almost separated from the Baltic Sea by the spit of two peninsulas. The salinity of the brackish water is 12 per thousand. The salt marshes are habitats for rare animals and plants.

Pura Vida and Bonn Giorno are pursuing a hiking project that is remarkable: the two of them are hiking around the entire Federal Republic - within today's borders. They came by here on July 12, 2022 and apparently stuck this stamp. They probably followed the E9 (which is apparently now identical to the Hanseatenweg)
