It's always fun to come to the reservoir. Whether in summer or winter. There is a fantastic circular path around the lake and if you want, you can extend your tour by taking the many hiking trails next to it. After the tour, it's worth visiting the brewery right by the lake. In summer, you can also go for a ride on a pedal boat or go swimming. The tent and campsite is right by the lake.

Be careful, rip-off! I find the parking fees at the reservoir - up to 2 hours 2€, from the 3rd hour onwards a whopping 6€ - outrageous. So if you want to hike the Tafeltour or the Hochwälder (approx. 10 km), it costs €6. Established on March 5th, 2023

The Hunsrück is more diverse than you might think. After a long stretch through the dense forest, you reach an open landscape near Zerf, which allows far-reaching views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
