ラムシュタイン城跡は、約182メートルの高さのカラフルな砂岩の岩の上にあります。元々は10世紀に要塞化された荘園として建設され、14世紀にかけてトリーア選帝侯領の封建的な城に拡張されました。 今日まで主に、西側にある約25メートルの高さの居住塔と、まだ高くそびえる城壁の一部が保存されています。これらには、座席のニッチ、暖炉、螺旋階段の残骸など、まだ認識可能な建築の詳細が見られます。
