The statue on the Moselle Bridge bears the inscription "Carry us too in the stream of life."

The cross refers to a merchant who was murdered there in the 17th century, which is also explained on an information board. A nice rest area is right next door.

At this spot, a merchant—a lemon merchant—is said to have been murdered by his servant in 1687. As the inscription states, the cross was erected by the children of P.I. Carové, of blessed memory, who died here.
