The Catholic Church of St. Franz Xaver in the center of Lauterecken was built between 1848 and 1853 and consecrated on July 31, 1853.

The Protestant church in the Niedereisenbach district was built in 1336. On the eastern side is the Romanesque choir tower, whose bell tower presumably dates from a more recent period. In 1964, a stair tower was built next to the choir tower, leading to the bell tower. Shortly afterwards, between 1976 and 1978, the originally flat ceiling in the interior was replaced with a stepped wooden ceiling. Between the nave and the choir, there is a pointed arch that leads into two rectangular pillars.
