Reipoltskirchen Castle is one of the best-preserved moated castles in the Palatinate region, picturesquely perched above the Odenbach River. Originally built in the 12th century, it served as a noble residence for centuries and has been rebuilt several times. 📝 Highlight description: The extraordinary pedestrian bridge by French artist Marc de Roover not only connects two banks, but also combines art and function. Created from steel and Douglas fir in 2014, it appears like a walkable sculpture. The curved shape, the open side structures, and the combination of materials give the bridge a lightness that makes crossing a special experience. It symbolizes connection and encounter – central themes of the sculpture trail in Reipoltskirchen. ✨ Tip: An ideal photo spot! From the middle of the bridge, you have a beautiful view of the greenery and can capture the symmetry of the structure particularly well.

Markus Sauermann's monumental sandstone sculpture "East-West" was created in 2023 in Schweinstal near Krickenbach. Two striking stone elements face each other – separate yet connected. They symbolize the dialogue between opposites that complement each other despite their differences and open up new perspectives.
