On a door inside the atrium of the castle we can admire the coat of arms of the Spinola family, which came into possession of Borgagne in 1616. In the north-east corner, the one with the better preserved curtain than that of the main facade, incorporates partially, a pre-existing tower built in 1498, the year is derived from the inscription present under the noble coat of arms of the Petraroli, from which it takes its name.
