Be well prepared. The drive there is via narrow mountain roads. Once you arrive, the climb and hike are very challenging. This hike is definitely not for the average hiker! For very experienced hikers with poles, etc., good luck if you go.

Nice starting point for various paths or for the via ferrata of Camoglieres. Several parking spaces available.

The Bagnour refuge is located in the heart of the enchanting Alevé forest, the largest pine forest in Italy, at 2,017 meters above sea level. It has twenty beds and twenty-four internal seats, with half or full board service. The refuge is open every day from mid-June to mid-September, from September to June open on weekends and holidays (during the week only by reservation). The Bagnour refuge is the ideal destination for day trips or as a base for multi-day itineraries such as the Giro del Monviso. Here the dirt road ends and the trail begins

Along the famous Cyclamen Path, with a very short detour to Camoglieres, you can use this inn which acts as a bar, restaurant and has beds.

Refuge offering refreshment service (dinner) and overnight stay

The Locanda del Silenzio is a stopover on the Percorsi Occitani. The atmosphere is pleasant and the cuisine is very good.
