The Carmagnola bivouac was set up by the Municipality of Acceglio and the volunteers of the CAI Carmagnola in 2017. Not far from here, you can still see the old refuge set up in 1973 on the ruins of a former barracks that today is abandoned due to repeated acts of vandalism that have made the refuge unusable. In the bivouac you can find 10 beds with mattresses, pillows and blankets, the internal table with bench and stools and an area with a shelf for cooking. Outside there is also a table and a station for basic bicycle repairs. The effort to get up here is certainly well rewarded by the incredible panorama that surrounds you, we recommend that you take a moment to contemplate it.

The Bagnour refuge is located in the heart of the enchanting Alevé forest, the largest pine forest in Italy, at 2,017 meters above sea level. It has twenty beds and twenty-four internal seats, with half or full board service. The refuge is open every day from mid-June to mid-September, from September to June open on weekends and holidays (during the week only by reservation). The Bagnour refuge is the ideal destination for day trips or as a base for multi-day itineraries such as the Giro del Monviso. The Vallanta refuge is located at 2,450 meters above sea level, under the west face of Monviso. It is an excellent stopover for those who travel the Giro del Monviso, but also for those who love mountaineering and reaching the peaks above. The refuge is open from mid-June to mid-September, during the closing period a spacious winter bivouac is available. In summer, reservations are required to stay overnight. The Sella Refuge is the support and starting point for the ascent to Monviso along the Via Normale. Located at m. 2,640 s.l.m., is named after Quintino Sella, founder of the Italian Alpine Club in 1863.

At an altitude of 2,640 m, stands the refuge named after Quintino Sella, an Italian scientist, economist and politician. Passionate about mountaineering, during the time of his political experience he founded in 1863 the C.A.I. (Club Alpino Italiano) to relaunch and expand the Italian Alpine cultural knowledge. He was at the head of the first Italian expedition that reached the summit of Monviso.
