Small but welcoming village with a refuge and the possibility of lunch

The Emilio Questa Refuge, at 2,388 m, is located in the Maritime Alps Natural Park (CN). Open in summer, it offers beds and a winter room. It can be reached from Valdieri. Restaurant with typical cuisine and facing beautiful Alpine views. Info: www.rifugioquesta.it.

The information is hidden online and so I warn you, to collect the keys and stay overnight, there is a tourist tax per person: 20 euros (non-CAI members) 10 euros (members) For the rest, the bivouac is super comfortable and equipped with wood for the stove, gas stove, dishes, food, etc...

Beautiful place in all seasons

Bivouac or social hut dedicated to Roberto Barbero, a young mountaineer from Cuneo who died during a climb. It is located at the top of a hill at an altitude of 1600, and can be reached with a beautiful and easy hike of a couple of hours from the Vagliotta bridge, near Sant'Anna di Valdieri

Alpine village of Rittana rich in history, protagonist of liberation and resistance, with restaurant with terrace, an open-air theater and a multimedia museum. To reach it, park the car in Chiot Rosa and walk for half an hour on the road

Beautiful and modern refuge at the end of the Riofreddo Valley, easily reachable by bike via a comfortable dirt and asphalt road. Other beautiful walks start from here. It's not always open, I passed by on a Wednesday at the end of September and found it closed
