A less crowded mountain, it's much quieter than nearby Monte Rai, which can be seen from the summit of Monte Prasanto. Recommended and especially very sunny, even in winter!

Viewpoint summit above Civate, next to Mt. Cornizzolo. Accessible by bike from Cornizzolo. Turn right about 300m before the antenna. Continue through the meadow for about 300m to Mt. Rey. Descent towards Mt. Cornizzolo S1-S2 with a few sections of walking; strenuous ascent.
