カッペルンのニシン柵は、シュライ川にある歴史的な漁具であり、伝統的な漁業の証です。 この施設は、水底に設置された木の杭で構成されており、ニシンが通るのを妨げていました。 これにより、魚を集めてから捕獲することができました。 カッペルンのニシン柵は、今日では重要な技術的記念碑であり、この地域におけるニシン漁のかつての経済的重要性を示しています。

To be precise, there were three minesweeping squadrons…and two fast attack craft squadrons…the so-called Baltic Sea rockers…each squadron had a tender (supply ship). In naval circles, Olpenitz was also affectionately called Olpenizsibirsk…because it was in the middle of nowhere…🙃 Until the end of the 1990s, 50 boats were stationed there…today, the navy unfortunately doesn't even have a fraction of that number…

Nowhere else can you see more sea than right by the sea.
