The museum harbor of Kappeln on the Schlei is a lively meeting point for friends of historic ships and maritime tradition. Lovingly preserved traditional sailing ships, old workboats, and other historic vessels are moored here. Between the ships, the water, and the old harbor facilities, Kappeln's maritime history can be experienced particularly beautifully. The harbor conveys an authentic impression of the former importance of shipping and fishing on the Schlei.

歴史的な教会の階段は、町の中心部からそびえ立つ聖ニコライ教会へと続いています。この階段は、市場広場とより高い場所にある教会の台地との高低差を克服しています。登っていくと、周囲の歴史的な家々やKappelの旧市街の美しい景色が開けます。この階段は、歴史的な街並みの特徴的な一部であり、市内中心部と教会を特別な方法で結びつけています。

To be precise, there were three minesweeping squadrons…and two fast attack craft squadrons…the so-called Baltic Sea rockers…each squadron had a tender (supply ship). In naval circles, Olpenitz was also affectionately called Olpenizsibirsk…because it was in the middle of nowhere…🙃 Until the end of the 1990s, 50 boats were stationed there…today, the navy unfortunately doesn't even have a fraction of that number…

Pure nature, sometimes strenuous to ride and often only possible to push, but the view of the water makes up for it :)
