The oldest parts of the current church were built between 1654 and 1657. The tower was not completed until 1688. The galleries were built in 1826. By 1931 the church had become too small, so the two side galleries, the choir, the baptismal chapel and the sacristy were added. In 1933 the old tower was demolished and replaced by a new one.
