The cliffs of the Caaner Schweiz (Caan Switzerland) in the Saynbach Valley in the Westerwald region are 140 to 249.7 meters high. Mud and sand deposits from the Devonian sea, approximately 400 million years ago, formed the origin of the rocks, which were compacted by pressure, folded into a mountain range, and eroded. The rock consists of clay shale, sandstone, and quartzite sandstone.

I, with a severe fear of heights, do NOT recommend this trail! In fact, I'm even annoyed that there's no warning sign before entering this trail, where there's no turning back, since you can't turn around.

A magnificent church building. The interior was also accessible for a short prayer service.

Surefootedness is required here, but it's worth it.

this place is wonderful

The hiking trail through the forest is calming and relaxing to walk. Mighty beech and oak trees tower up to be admired. This peace and quiet is wonderful and only falling acorns and beech nuts crack and make noises as they fall. Birds chirp softly and this interplay is a delight.
