The cliffs of the Caaner Schweiz (Caan Switzerland) in the Saynbach Valley in the Westerwald region are 140 to 249.7 meters high. Mud and sand deposits from the Devonian sea, approximately 400 million years ago, formed the origin of the rocks, which were compacted by pressure, folded into a mountain range, and eroded.
