This is the former train station building in Obererbach. Today, it's privately owned and a listed building—a pleasant sight and a reminder of times gone by. Fortunately, the train station still exists, but the building is no longer accessible to rail passengers. Instead, a covered "station" is located nearby.

If the station were to be renovated like in Schladern, it would be great. It should happen sometime this year. At least interim use was planned from summer 2024....

Even though the religious community that used to be based here left the Marienthal monastery a decade ago, the pilgrimage church was open when I visited today and was visited by some people for silent Eucharistic adoration. Next to the church there is a statue of the Sacred Heart and behind it a Lourdes grotto has been built.
