The Fountain of Joy of Life is a fountain located at the central University Square in the center of the Hanseatic city of Rostock. The walk-in fountain is also known locally as the "Porno Fountain."[1] The fountain was created by the sculptors Reinhard Dietrich and Jo Jastram and inaugurated on June 27, 1980.

The HafenSport facility on the Haedge peninsula in Rostock's city harbor is one of the first smart city projects to be implemented in the Hanseatic and university city of Rostock. In collaboration with Großmarkt Rostock GmbH, a new public exercise space is being created in the heart of the growing city harbor, combining digitalization, participation, and quality of life. Using an app, equipment (e.g., basketballs, fitness accessories) can be easily borrowed from a sports box on-site – spontaneously and free of charge.

Papendorf, located in or above the Warnow Valley, was first mentioned in 1257. Like many other villages in the area, it was founded by German settlers. The Lütt Museum in the Old School offers information and vivid exhibits on the town's history. The Art Nouveau villa from 1907, restored to its historic status, hosts cultural events such as concerts and readings.

Open to unrestricted use until May 2025. It's very special for e-bikes. Ladies should bring a sturdy rack. It's a tight squeeze for wide handlebars. Access is more like a disastrous farm track than a "bike path." Have fun on your tours!
