Very beautiful but can be quite muddy if there has been rainfall beforehand.

There are great trails through the Este Valley that are really fun.

The periscope is actually still there and regularly attracts everyone who passes by. Nice place for a short rest.

The 4th stage of the "Wilde 13" hiking trail also runs along here. The "Wilde 13" is not signposted or marked, but can only be hiked using a GPX file at the following link: www.dav-hamburg.de/dav/Wilde13 (as of June 2024).

Where the municipality of Rosengarten begins, the paths will be good! In the municipal area of Buchholz, the concrete runway leaves a lot to be desired due to the heavy forest vehicles driving on it! It would be great if they would re-tar there like in the Rosengarten area! The city of Buchholz always thinks 1x laid out paths will last forever. You also have to regularly restore paths for cyclists, not just motorways!
