You arrive from Borzonasca after 10km of non-trivial, but "pedalable" climb.
The change of climate at the vault is powerful :-)
The road is paved but there is absolutely no pool table. Beware of bumpy spots.
Update 2023: the road has undergone major maintenance work in recent months and the asphalt is almost perfect. It is possible to encounter 1 0 2 traffic lights due to small narrowings of the lane due to consolidation works.
