The church was built for the lay people of the monastery parish. The late Gothic building was consecrated in 1469, and between 1630 and 1632 it was rebuilt and refurbished. The early baroque high altar (1632) and the coffered ceiling with panel paintings from the life of the Virgin Mary date from this period.
The church also houses a valuable baroque organ from 1668. On the outer facade there are coats of arms of provosts of the Augustinian canons.

Late Gothic church with an early baroque high altar and baroque organ, which is idyllically located next to the former Augustinian monastery. While its church was only intended for religious men, services were held here for everyone else.
