The Grüner Graben is an artificial ditch of eight kilometers in length, which was built in the 17th century on the mountainside above the Schwarze Pockau. It used to serve drinking water to the pits near Pobershau. Between 1974 and 1981 the ditch was repaired. Along the Graben leads the former Grabensteig, today a hiking trail.
