The Triesch retention reservoir is occasionally a small artificial body of water when it is intentionally dammed. The reservoir is located between Griesheim and Weiterstadt and is bordered by a raised dike. The flood retention reservoir is fed and drained by the Landgraben/Darmbach. The reinforced concrete culvert is located on the western edge of the reservoir. The "Brunnen Schneise" crosses the dike (western edge). The "Dornheimer Weg" road runs along the southern edge. The entire area is accessible via several cycling and hiking trails 🚴♂️
