Hiking
The path to the rock is worth it. Impressive views and wonderful peace. In the past, Skaros had a fortress at the top and served as a watchtower. According to historical data, the fortress was not conquered due to its height and difficult access from the sea. A strong earthquake in the mid-20th century destroyed everything on Skaros and today the only building you can see there is the small church of Theοskеpasti.

Hiking
An ascent to the plateau of the rock is certainly possible, but should be carefully weighed in terms of risk, self-assessment, and climbing skills. Especially the more difficult descent must be taken into account beforehand! In my opinion, it is not worth the risk even for advanced hikers, even if the appeal is there.
