This is a natural bridge that was preserved as the last witness of a once mighty cave system. The progressive work of water in the easily soluble Jurassic limestone led to the collapse and burial of the remaining cave over the course of millions of years. Only this cave ruin remained.

There is a nice signposted hiking trail from the car park on the road from Schlechtenfeld to Mühlen there. There and back about 1.5 km.
