Mountain biking

For the 6th Infantry Regiment, the kingdom of Bavaria built the "New Cavalry Barracks No. 2" between 1866 and 1868. At the turn of the century, the Bavarian Infantry Regiment 6 "Kaiser Wilhelm, King of Prussia" moved there, which also gave the barracks its name. The regiment was dissolved in 1918. However, further units of the Reichswehr, later the Wehrmacht and then the Bundeswehr were stationed in the barracks. The barracks were closed at the beginning of the 1990s. In 1995 the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule opened in the building complex. The campus has been growing year after year.
