The glider area Amberg-Rammertshof is certified for gliding, TMG and UL. For more than four decades, the Rammertshof glider area has been the home of Amberger glider pilots and the Air Sports Group Amberg e.V .. The airfield was part of the former Fuchsstein training ground. Where the Bundeswehr held their exercises during the week, the gliders were able to practice their sport over the weekend.
