Army Airfield AAF - South of Amberg there was a small landing pad of the US Army. This was listed as anfliegbar until the 1980s. Finally, the location was taken with the withdrawal of troops in the early 1990s. There was a runway 518 meters long and 20 meters wide. As an airfield Amberg should have been no longer used in the course of the 1980s, because for 1990, there are no more flying information. According to the list "Base Closures" Amberg was closed as a US basis final on 30.09.1993.
