The Geroldsee (also Wagenbrüchsee) is a moor lake about 500 m northeast of the Gerold district of the municipality of Krün in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It is located in the LSG-00281.03 landscape protection area on the southern edge of the Estergebirge about 9 km east of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The lake is located at 927 m above sea level in the Wagenbrüch area, a depression between the Schartenkopf in the north and a Würm glaciation moraine in the south.
